Trend Book AW 16/17 - Fashion

Hey fashionistas!
It's that time of the year again, the seasons are changing and so does the fashion industry. New things and designs are trending and I've once again tried to point out some of the biggest trends of this season in another trend book.

Designs to look for

Mac jacket
This new (or not) style of jacket is very similar to the trench coat that was a very delightful trend last year. It's typically tied together with a belt over the waist to hold the two flaps of the jacket in place. It's worn piece by among others Burberry, Celine and Prada.

Posh puffa
Another jacket trend this season is a indeed a very cozy piece when the cold weather decides to come along. It's always lovely when comfortable designs gets trending and the posh puffa design is kicking ass on the catwalk with brands like; Marques Almeida, Balenciaga, DKNY and Chanel flashing their version of the popular design.

Balmain, Lanvin, Bottega Veneta and Roberto Cavalli are just a few of the brands that use this simple but still adorable jewellery and take it to it's limits in different colours and shapes. It's easy to style with and just as easy to find in more affordable ways.

Layer on layer
Layering, vintage, 'just threw something on', call it what you want but it's definitely a practical style for this season as well and designers like Prada, Louis Vuitton and Tommy Hilfiger agree with me on this. In a country like Denmark with constantly changing weather this is just wonderful.

What a lovely and feminen material in a various spectrum of colours is taking control over the designer world and can be bought almost everywhere already, Valentino, Preen, Stella McCartney to Topshop. So what are you waiting for? Get yourself a piece of clothing in a lovely material.

This is definitely something that every kind of brand is using at the moment, Gucci, Alexander McQueen and many more are using this personal way of styling your clothing in a various amount of new collections this season.

It is everywhere, in every shape, everywhere on the body. Gucci, JW Anderson and Roksanda are using this lovely way of bending your clothing to make it look a bit more interesting. It's brave but also something that is worth giving a try.

Like the night
Don't think of this like some kind of punk/goth thing, it's very feminine with tulle and a bit of glitter made in dark colours, mostly black. This is seen alot on brands like; Alexander McQueen, The Row, Bottega Veneta and Simone Rocha.

Without doubt the biggest tendency this season. Isabel Marant, Saint Laurent, JW Anderson, Preen, Bottega and many, many more are rocking the biggest tendencies from the 80'es with the one shoulder cocktail dresses to oversized zippers and stirrup leggins. So get on with the puffy sleeves, trims and sharp edged shoulders, oh and don't forget the bubble hem skirts!

This was definitely a big trend in the fall summer season too with the bomber jackets and chill pants, but something tells med that this trend is going to continue a bit longer and so does Balenciaga, Emilio Pucci, Chloe and Vetements

Animal print
Well this is most likely one of the most interesting subjects, it's all about snakeskin and fishnet patterns and if in luck some good old leopard. If styled and designed well like; Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein and Jill Stuart, it won't be a problem.

This beautiful femininem tendency is staying with us a little longer and Paul Smith, Victoria Beckham and Dolce & Gabbana are good examples of this seasons new ways of making flowerprint one of the biggest trends.

It might not be there yet but it is for sure getting closer and closer. Big brands like Vetements, Isabel Marant, Jasquemus and Thom Browne are already down with this and soon it will be seen on more affordable brands as well.

Give not only your jewelry a shine but also your clothing in gold, silver and bronze colours. It is sparkling all over the catwalks already, Valentino, Christiano Burani, Opening Ceremony and Jill Sander, and I'm most certainly sure that I will be loving and using this trend a lot.

The warm colours are always a fall hit, but the cold colours a bit more winter like so this season has a good mix of both in the purple shades. Michael Kors, Miu Miu and Roberto Cavalli are introducing the next with this colour as well.

Brown shades
At last the brown shades, this is everything from monochrome, saffron and honey to sand like colours. All warm comfortable colours also in caramel and butterscotch, it's a lovely AW season kind of colour and brands like Hermes, Stella McCartney, Proenza Schouler and Off White are already using it.

I really hope that you like these kind of trend books, I personally enjoy making them alot and will definitely be back with one to the SS17 season. See you!
